AXIS Q8641-E's powerful processor allows you to add the benefits of the widest selection of video analytics solutions on the market to your surveillance solution. For example, Axis and our partners' video analytics applications support a rapid and appropriate response to detected events by analyzing detected events, automatically eliminating non-threat events, and immediately notifying security personnel of potentially critical situations. Your employees can then view clear, detailed footage to determine the exact nature of the threat and act accordingly.
Fast and smooth
AXIS Q8641-E allows operators to choose between extremely slow or ultra-fast translations (from 0.05 to 120 degrees per second) and oblique movements (from 0.05 to 65 degrees per second). As a result, they get a smooth, jitter free panoramic view when they need it, and they can respond quickly to events. The camera can be mounted on a pole or wall to provide a 360° panoramic view and a ground-to-sky view from -90° to +45°. When moving at speeds of up to 47 meters per second (106 MPH), it can withstand strong winds. AXIS Q8641-E has a 384x288 thermal resolution for wide area coverage and long range: in other words, a single camera can capture events occurring over large areas and long distances. In addition, thanks to a combination of dynamic histogram equalization, enhanced local contrast, and dynamic sharpening, AXIS Q8641-E improves image contrast to deliver clear video detail in all conditions.
Electronic image stabilization keeps the picture flowing even if the camera is subject to vibration. The result is excellent detection capabilities and quick and easy visual verification of the nature of the detected event. You can ignore them - or do something about them - so that false positives are kept to a minimum.
Fast and easy
AXIS Q8641-E's slim design and many available accessories allow you to install it anywhere you want. It has an SFP slot, so it supports cost-effective long-distance fiber connections. A 22 m (72 ft) long heavy duty power cord is available as an optional accessory. Designed for outdoor use, the cable has 3 wires, 12AWG, and a sheath diameter of 10 mm (0.4 in).
